This is my first article in Cvepsychoblog english version, I'm really excited to start this adventure with you all regarding personal development and as I like to call "understand your mind", so without further ado my today objective is that from today you will be convinced that it is never too late to become the person you want.
"Nobody can go back and make a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending. "Maria Robinson
I have not really tried to improve my life a lot until I was 27 years old.
Since that time (I'm 35 now), I tripled my efficiency, I lost over 20 pounds, I have adopted a more optimistic view of my life as I have developed my self-esteem greatly . I learned to simplify my life and inject more happiness in my life.
Why am I telling you this? Well, the question here is not to brag. My point is that you do not get stuck permanently in the life you have now. Although it may seem that way.
Sometimes you feel as if you should have started to change your life before, when you were a child or in your teens or early twenties. You may like as if it is too late now.
You can flipping your past to say "if only I had done this or that, things would have been different and better now" That may be true, but you can not really change the past unless. you have a time-machine. And relive the past in your mind does not change this.
It is not too late for you to improve something in your life that you really want to change. Regardless of your age. I understand that you may not be able to change your life as you want it fast enough. There are real limits in the lives of most people and personal development is not a magic that can be attached to anything quickly and easily.
But you can do what you can with what you have where you are right now.
Start there.
Just peel your goal into small steps, and as you get to perform these steps one after the other you will gain your confidence, then you set other goals, then just take the first small change, and I am sure it will go with you.
To make it easy you start, I present to you three steps to get started:
1. Think about what you really want to change.
Maybe you already know. It could be your social life, your confidence, your looks, or your financial situation ... Or take a few days to think. Take the time to focus on that because if you determine your goal well, it will become much easier to continue.
Or let your curiosity guide you. Ask yourself: what do I want to explore in life now? Find one or a few areas for improvement or habits you want in your life. Write them down.
2. Choose a theme or a habit that you concentrate for the moment.
If you have found several things in which you want to focus, choose to focus on one at a time. Change all at the same time will surely lead you to failure. If you have a regular life then you probably will not have the time and energy to change three things at once, even if you really hope and you think you can.
If desired, choose a theme for the next three months and focus only on that. I chose themes in the past as the appearance physic and social proof. Then I spent all my efforts for 3 or 4 months in creating new habits and routines in this area.
3. Make small steps.
This is very important. The feeling that something is too big, frightening or difficult, it is one of the most common things to prevent people from making a decision and get started.
On the other hand, people tend to overestimate their own will. The plan sounds so good in your head, but when you run it, you can not really take much action or to improve as fast as you think.
Focus on a single task and dissects several steps and you always ask: what is the first step to start or to grow in this situation. Do not get stuck in the planning. Or think that you will start tomorrow or next week. Just get the ball rolling. I use this question almost every day and she was extremely helpful in the past two years.
So I will not let you do things alone, the following sections will treat different problems of self-confidence, decision making, combat her shyness ...
Your friend,
